We visited Dr Idora in December 2014 for my monthly check-up after reading raving reviews about her online.
It was our first check-up so we made an appointment one month prior.
She's highly sought after so we understood that we had to wait for an available slot to meet her.
To be honest, driving into Bangsar took a lot of effort for us.
Throughout the journey, we were thinking about the massive traffic during peak hours which would be a tremendous hassle for us.
Upon driving up to the hospital, we were scrambling to search for the entrance.
The driveway leading to the basement parking was slightly narrow and this was the same when we drove down to search for a parking space.
The basement parking was full and there were quite a lot of cars coming in and out too.
Once we managed to park our car, we made our way to the lobby.
Luckily, I had Dr Idora's room details so I roughly knew which wing and floor to go.
Unfortunately, the hospital setting itself was confusing (personal opinion) so we had to ask around to find our way.
Upon reaching the floor, we made our way to the registration counter, which was quite a distance from the lift lobby.
The nurse took our details and upon seeing that there were so many people, hubby asked if we would see the doctor anytime soon (based on our appointment time) or should we wait a bit longer?
The nurse suggested us to head downstairs for a cup of coffee etc and advised us that it would take awhile.
It simply means that you wouldn't see the doctor based on your appointment time.
Well, that's OK since I guess it's quite normal considering that Dr Idora is quite famous.
So we headed down to the lobby again to sit down and have coffee (ice chocolate for me, no coffee :) )
Around an hour or so later, we decided to head back up, just in case.
This time around, the waiting area was less crowded and we decided to wait.
We saw a nurse coming in and out of Dr Idora's room with patients.
Hubby decided to ask the nurse about our turn.
She looked at her list and said that she'll take my vitals since the other patients prior to me have gone out for lunch.
Yippee! :D
So she took my BP, weight, etc and of course asked me to go pee pee.
Another 1 hour later, we were ushered into the doctor's room and I finally get to see the much sought after Dr Idora! :D
She's super duper nice and thoroughly went through the details of our baby during the scan.
Our daughter was so excited to see her younger sibling in my tummy! :)
Dr Idora took the time to listen to our questions and answered them accordingly.
She didn't rush through the consultation and she's soft spoken.
Hubby had trouble hearing her since he was handling our toddler at the same time so he left it to me to obtain information from Dr Idora.
