Sam's Groceria @ Encorp Strand Mall, The Strand, Kota Damansara

I instantly fell in love with THIS supermarket!

I'm extremely impressed!

Sam's Groceria at Encorp Mall, The Strand in Kota Damansara.

The supermarket, located on the Ground Floor, is extremely CLEAN, smells fresh and everything is just organised.

(Notice me using the word 'extremely' for the second time? It really is an AWESOME supermarket!)

The staff are friendly and from time to time, they'd make their rounds to check out the aisles and re-arrange items on display to ensure that the shelves look neat and organised.

Seriously, I don't mind doing my grocery shopping here.

They also have another section called Sam's Deli where all the baked / fried / cooked dishes are ready to be picked out and they also have a dining area for you to enjoy your meals.

The concept is quite similar to Ben's Independent Grocer (B.I.G) in Publika.

The latest trend in our local supermarkets would be the self scan facility.

This feature is quite common overseas but only recently we have seen this implemented locally.

Check out the video and guide on how to go about using this.

(You will need to register with the Sam's Groceria Family Card Program)

Video explanation on the Self-Scan feature

I'm willing to frequent Sam's Groceria in a heartbeat, the only pain is the traffic jam as you'd need to brave through traffic due to the on-going MRT construction.

You'll need to figure out which timings would be feasible so as not to get caught in the jam.

On another note, they have JKids located on the 2nd floor, right next to TGV Cinemas.

For the Muslims, a surau is located on the Ground Floor and is extremely comfortable too.

You may check out their list of tenants here

Best part, as of now, parking is FREE of charge!

The mall is THE best place to go to ... now, if only the traffic jam heading there wasn't such a headache! :(

Lego Store @ The Curve, Damansara

Where would one be able to find an abundance of LEGO collection in Damansara Utama?

There's one located on the same floor as Mothercare at The Curve Shopping Mall ! :D

At the time of us stepping into this huge Lego concept store, there was only us and the staff.

In the centre of the shop, they've allocated a space for young kids to play whilst mom or dad or guardian checks out the massive collection available.

Once we settled down at this table, the crowd started to build up. We're talking about college students, teenagers and working adults walking into the shop, spending time at each section to check out the items on display.

This was the first time ever that I had actually walked into a big shop containing nothing but Lego all around!

Don't believe me? Check out the pictures below!!!

Of course, as a mom, I'm only too happy that our toddler could spend close to an hour just focusing on playing with the Lego and making new friends. :)

Hubby advised me that this would be an excellent blog entry as there are Lego enthusiasts who would LOVE to patronize this store.

So here I am typing this out and pictures were of course captured by dear hubby.

Highly recommended place to check out, guys! :)

As for those who want their toddlers to just chill with Lego, this is THE place to go to. :D

Jaya One @ Jalan Universiti, Petaling Jaya

A long overdue post!

This was supposed to be updated the same day I had posted an entry of The School and Pop by Jaya One.

However, hubby & I have been SUPER DUPER busy the past week, I've only managed to update this in the wee hours of the morning today!

Thank goodness hubby managed to process these pictures he took at Jaya One for your viewing pleasure :D

To start off, after we went cruising around Pop by Jaya One at The School, we stepped out of The School to see what else is in the area.

The School's Main Entrance

Not sure what this is, hubby thought it was a stage of some sort ... hehehe no idea, I initially thought it was a fountain.

The lobby / drop-off area of The School

The Lift Lobby
After walking past the main entrance, we saw this on our right:

The Postcode (right next to Pop by Jaya One @ The School)

We then walked through a pathway leading to an array of cafes & restaurants:

Jaya One is like a mini-town on its own! :)

Since we came here on a Sunday, quite a number of the cafes / restaurants were closed, unfortunately.

See that red awning? That's Nando's ... :)

What I really like about Jaya One is that it is not congested over the weekend as opposed to shopping malls within Klang Valley.

Particularly if you're not looking for a specific brand / cafe / restaurant to go to, I'd rather come here on weekends if I just want to dine out with the family or hang out with my girlfriends.

Too bad it's quite a distance from where I live ... :(

But Jaya One has GREAT potential to be THE PLACE to go to on a weekend, what with the retail outlet, Pop by Jaya One housed at The School.

In comparison to going to your normal bazaars, check out this place for your next trip as there's ample parking (basement) with facilities such as the washroom, praying room and eateries within a walking distance.
