Super Simple SAHM: The Good Batch KL @ Damansara Uptown

For those working in or near Damansara Uptown, you're spoilt for choice with all the cafes mushrooming that are taking advantage of the office-going crowd on weekdays.

The success of a cafe not only depends on the marketing strategy but customers' word of mouth AND words of a blog too.

After reading great reviews of those who had gone to The Good Batch KL, hubby brought his peers, who were visiting Malaysia from the US, to lunch at this spanking new cafe.

There were approximately 10 of them altogether so they had all walked from their office at Menara See Hoy Chan to The Good Batch.

Hubby was keen to try out the new cafe.

PROS:

* Definitely the interior, the place looks fabulous, is cosy and the concept is awesome! Much thought had been put in by the owner in highlighting the details of each simple furniture or display.

* The cafe takes advantage of natural lighting by installing windows and you feel that you're basked in the warmth of the sun, especially mornings.

* The baristas are super friendly and ever eager to serve.

* Photo ops are abundant within the four walls of the cafe and you can't stop snapping away!

CONS:

* Forget about having conversations in this joint, the noise level is REALLY bad when the place is packed! You either have to shout at the person whom you're with or sit really close next to them (for the love birds, this would probably be ok).

* The contributing factor of the noise is probably due to the built-up of the restaurant where they use tiles and cement, not to mention loads of windows. There is nothing in the restaurant which absorbs the noise.

* The price is slightly on the higher end, particularly the food. Drinks are priced reasonably. Case in point, hubby ordered the "Hangover Mesh" (which he disliked) and was surprised to find that it was quite pricey considering that it consisted of just eggs, corn beef and potatoes.
